Idea2ProductProduct cycle

From idea to production.
Gate by gate.

Ideas are cheap; shipping the right ones isn’t. Idea2Product is a lightweight, gate-based process that takes an idea through discovery, prioritization, design, build and operations in 11 phases — where good ideas accelerate and bad ideas fail fast, before they get expensive.

Why Idea2Product

Most ideas deserve a faster no.

In most companies ideas meet one of two fates: they die quietly in a backlog, or they get built because someone senior liked them — and the market gets to veto them after the budget is spent. Both failures have the same cause: no process between “idea” and “project”.

Gates change the economics. Five quality gates — screening, discovery, portfolio, design and release — each with explicit criteria and the licence to kill, park or proceed. The result: bad ideas cost days instead of quarters, and the ideas that pass arrive in production with evidence behind them. It’s the process we use for our own products.

Good ideas accelerate. Bad ideas fail fast and cheap.

The tooling

Not slides. A running system.

Every idea is an initiative on the platform. The 11-phase blueprint tracks each idea’s position, its next gate, its owner and its evidence — so the portfolio decision is always made on data, never on volume.

Everything is transparent. Every phase, every document, every quality gate and every score is visible to you live — who owns the next step, what’s blocked and why, and which gate comes next. No black box, no status-meeting archaeology.

Put your next idea through the gates.

If it survives, you’ll know it deserved to. If it doesn’t, you just saved a quarter of engineering.
